A Strange Day

Updated: Sep 5, 2022

I had a strange day yesterday. So strange.

I saw a cat run through the field to catch

nothing. No mice appeared nor anything

to catch, yet she ran and ran after nothing.

Later, I saw a lizard sit stone cold

on a fence. Stationary but mind racing.

He did not move his head or feet, but thoughts.

He thought about the cat that ran and asked

me if he should be scared. He did not want

to die but the cat was quick. She may have caught

the lizard if their paths had crossed. Oh God!

The lizard and the cat are gone. Perhaps Sleeping.
